I’m thankful for a lot of things. My family and friends are what I’m most thankful for. I am so thankful for my family. My parents give me more opportunities than I ever deserve. They are helping me making my dreams come true everyday. My group of friends are the best I could ever ask for. Christa is my bestfriend. We’ve grown up together. I remember a bunch of memories from 3rd grade, from playing in the sprinkler to making up dances. She is the one I can always count on. I’m also thankful for Lexi, Kaylee, Morgan, and Allie.

I am also very thankful for every girl on my softball team. Every weekend of my summer is with them, and most weekends in other seasons is with them. We are all spread out from all over Ohio, but when we are together we have an unbreakable bond. All of us are on a crazy ride, but we get through it together. When my confidence is low I always have the other eleven girls to pick me up. From team bonding in hotel rooms to on the field I know they will all have my back. We understand that we all make mistakes on the field, so we just pick each other up. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my team.

 

 

Maycomb Tribune Editorial

Tom Robinson, an African-American, has recently been accused of raping a white women. Robinson is now in the local jail. Obviously there has been lots of issues with this case, being in Maycomb, Alabama.

Last night I saw one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. A group of white men showed up at the jail to kill Tom Robinson. Normally, he would have already been sentenced to death. In this case, Atticus Finch is defending Tom Robinson and has not allowed for him to be sentenced to death. Scout Finch, Atticus’ daughter, stopped the mob. She reminded one of the men about all the good things Atticus has done for him and his family.

Obviously there is a huge disagreement about racism. Some people automatically think that Robinson is guilty, when they have no idea. Some people even go to violence. I see where you are coming from being against blacks and I realize that the men are angry but, they should see the other side. Blacks have their opinion as well. They are not complete monsters like they are made out to be.

If a white man was accused of raping a white women, people would not be outside the jail trying to kill him. They would also wait to see if it is true before they assume things. Blacks are just like whites, just different skin colors. They don’t do terrible things constantly like people act like. I believe that Tom Robinson should be punished if he did rape the white women. Anybody should be if they rape anyone. But, I also think that Tom Robinson should get go against his conviction, just like any white man would. Every man was created equal, even if they are black, white, or any race. They should be treated like it.

Period 8

A. Keith Beauchamp and Stanley Nelson both made fields about the Emmit Till murder. They made people very aware of how awful it was. Stanley told audience members to send postcards to an attorney in Mississippi, where Till was killed, saying the case needs to be reopened. They reopened the case from the information that was uncovered from both of the films.

E.  Mr.Beauchamp and Mr.Nelson don’t really communicate a lot. When asked about Nelson, Beauchamp responded saying that Nelson knew he was working on this, but it kinda helped him out because he’s film was finished and brought more attention to his. Nelson was then asked about Beauchamp and he simply said “I’ve met him.”  So those two do not have the best relationship.

F. Nelson loved making the film. It took over a year to make, but he said it was worth it. He said that it’s an incredible feeling to be a part of reopening the case. Nelson then said, “The film was hard to make, emotional to make, and it was also an honor to make.”

 

 

The most inspirational person is my dad. Even though we are deadlock at times he’s still my #1 fan. He is very unspurious. Sometimes he is very cumbersome but he’s always there for me.  Our laughter together is unbridled and I value our time together. Everyday he’s there for me. He makes me work hard and helps me through any dilemma in life. He’s so easy to get along with but he still pushes me. Even when things are muddled he stays by my side. He sits on a bucket and catches me everyday to make me better. Which he has to be very admonish and circumspect doing. Sometimes he’s a little too opinionated for my likings but I still love him with all my heart and I will never relinquish the relationship I have with him.

What scares me the most in life is storms. They’re very unbridled which freaks me out. They put you in a very muddled dilemma because you can’t do anything about them. Within seconds they can efface everything you own. If storms are near me i’m very admonish and circumspect. They scatter debri everywhere which people then have to clean up and debri flying everywhere can be dangerous. Storms are very cumbersome. Another thing that scares me a lot is brigands. They scare me because of just what they can do whenever they feel like it. I’m very opionionated towards them because I think what they do is very wrong.

The theme of my life is blessed. I live a very blessed life. Luckily, I have amazing parents and friends that support everything I do. My parents are great enough to give me the opportunities that I want. They take time to find college camps and things like that to make my dreams come true. My friends stay by my side through everything. Both my friends and family push me to be the best I can be. My friends want me to succeed so much which helps quite a lot. I’m so blessed with amazing people in my life and all around me.

The mixtape of my life is “I’ll Show You” by Justin Bieber. When I first heard this song I was in love with it. I’ve always been a huge Justin Bieber fan but in my opinion this is the best sing he has ever had. This song explains how people think that you are so strong but really at times you fall. It explains that pressure is difficult and doing the right thing isn’t always easy. Then, it goes on to say that I’ll show you that I will make those right decisions and I’ll prove to you that I will do the right thing. This song is very related because at times I have gotten knocked down but gotten back up. It is also relatable because I’ve had to make decisions to do the right thing and not go into the same path that some of my close friends were going.

My first crush was on Dylan Kidd in first grade. He was in my class and we would always do our centers together. I remember playing on the playground. He would always push me and my friends on the tire swing. Everyone wanted him to push them on the tire swing because he was the best. That’s probably why I liked him. He had red hair and freckles. We were best friends all through elementary, middle school, and we’re still great friends now. I remember one day Allie Buttree told me to met Dylan at the trashcan in Mrs.Kidd’s classroom. I went up there, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. All the girls were super jealous and we “dated” all throughout first and second grade.
